ICYMI

I went to ~fashun~ week, I recharged, plugged my fave fall recipe for butternut squash mac and cheese, made sausage and peppers for game day, and made my first soup of soup season. Speaking of soup season, I am typing this to you as I sip my homemade pumpkin spiced latte, burn my Trader Joe’s Honeycrisp Apple candle, and break in my new favorite cashmere sweater. Meaning, that I have officially transitioned out of my coastal granddaughter summer era and into my granola curious fall era.

So, what does it mean to be granola curious? It means romanticizing a crunchy outdoor lifestyle, but in reality, living in an urban area where you work a 9-5 desk job (probably in marketing) and the only nature you’re exposed to is the plant section of your local Trader Joe’s. It means dressing like you’re heading out for a long hike through the Mountains in New Hampshire when you’re just walking down the street for an $8 cold brew.

The granola curious aesthetic feels very New England coded to me. It’s essentially the North East’s answer to the Southern “Christian Girl Autumn” aesthetic. However, instead of sweater dresses and a knee high boot, the granola curious wardrobe is giving gorpcore meets lumberjack. Lots of baggy worn in denim, oversized sweaters, men’s flannels, patterned fleeces, and most importantly: sensible shoes (one may argue, too sensible). So, in honor of my granola curious journey, I’ve assembled some granola curious inspired lewks below.

What I’m Loving

Since I’ve organized these into individual ~lewks~ the list below will go by column rather than by row.

NN07 Flannel: I love the color way of this flannel. It doesn’t feel TOO fall or wintery so I can easily wear it year round.

AGOLDE Low Slung Baggy: We all know I have a passion for AGOLDE jeans, but these are the perfect pair for the granola curious cozy girl vibe. They’re about as comfortable as a pair of sweatpants, bute can be dressed up or down depending on your mood.

Sorel Hiking Boots: Confession, I did in fact buy these simply because I thought they were cute. HOWEVER, I now have a fall trip planned that might involve some hiking, so they might potentially be put to good use.

Rowing Blazers Fleece: Debating if I need to set my alarm for 3AM Saturday morning to cop this..

Levi’s Baggy Dad Jeans Dark Wash: I’ll say it again, THE LEVI’S BAGGY DAD JEAN IS THE BEST IN THE GAME RN. Good price point, great quality, and the perfect cut. This color specifically is my favorite pair of jeans at the moment (which is saying a lot considering I have about 30 pairs of jeans).

Asics: I’ve been an Asics girlie since high school because I have horrible knee problems and they were the only shoes that are supportive enough for me. To my shock and delight, Asics are now cool!? I got this pair over a year ago and I love them. You can also find similar pairs in stock here.

Obey Patron Cardigan: Something about this specific shade of blue scratches my brain in a way that I cannot fully articulate. Another men’s sweater that currently has me in a chokehold is this J.Crew Men’s Cotton Sweater. My mans and I currently share this sweater in both the navy and the dark green in size XL for a baggy fit. Obsessed.

Levi’s Baggy Dad Jeans, Ecru: ANOTHA ONE. I ended up returning my Rag & Bone jeans because these were far superior.

Blue Birkenstocks: These blue Birks broke the internet last year and sold out everywhere in a matter of days. I was DELIGHTED to see them in stock again, but unfortunately only in the Men’s section. Huge win for my fellow big feet girlies, I copped a size 41.
