Welcome back to the Group Chat!!! We’re officially 1 month into summer meaning we’ve got 2 months to go, meaning we’re currently in the sweet spot of peak summer.

I consider “peak summer” to be the last week of July - the second week of August. This short window of time is hands down the best part of the year. Every day is filled with opportunity and there is no shortage of things to be excited about, now and in the future. Yesterday was great (enough time has passed to forget about how miserable I was during the months of February - April), today is great (the sun is shining and the produce is popping), and tomorrow is going to be even better (fall is just around the corner, then THE HOLIDAYS). You see what I’m saying? The world is our OYSTER right now so don’t let it slip away.

ICYMI

Last weekend was a very low key weekend for me in the Hamptons compared to weekend’s past. Which was much needed as I’m still fighting a cold turned sinus infection for the third week in a row. I had the night off on Friday and enjoyed a lovely little beach picnic. Then it was back to business on Saturday with a bountiful harvest.

What I'm loving

This week I’m doing a little Things I Bought and Liked (TIBAL) situation. If you know me you know I have a horrendous shopping problem, but I figured this way I can actually use my powers for good instead of evil.

Ok, left to right starting from the top:

  • Tan Luxe The Water Hydrating Self-Tan Water: I am OBSESSED with this self tanner. Backstory: I did my first partnership with TanLuxe last fall and they offered to come to my apartment to give me an at home spray tan before fashion week and I obliged. When the girl was spraying me I asked her what the difference was between the formula she was spraying me with and the regular Tan Luxe self tan products, because I just assumed there was some special off market Tan Luxe formula for spray tan guns. But there was no special formula, it was literally just the The Water Hydrating Self-Tan water loaded into a spray tan machine. THEN she proceeded to tell me that unlike other self tanners, Tan Luxe doesn’t use a “guide color”, meaning they don’t add a superficial tint to the formula. The purpose of a guide color is to help ~guide~ you as you apply product so you can see what areas you’ve covered and what areas you missed, it has nothing to do with the actual color of your tan. HOWEVER, the guide color is what turns your sheets and clothes orange and pink!!!! Since the Tan Luxe formula is clear, there is 0 color transfer. To make a long story short: it was the best spray tan I ever got and I now SWEAR by this product. I get it in the shade dark/medium. My only complaint is the spray bottle it comes in is sorta hard to use. Ok sorry that was a really long rant but I feel very strongly about these things.

  • Levi’s Baggy Dad Jeans: These have been my favorite cut of Levi’s for about a year and I have them in 5 colors now. They are so comfortable they literally feel like sweatpants, and the price point is really great compared to the other jeans in my collection so I don’t feel stressed when I wear them while I’m cooking. I particularly love this new wash, they make a great dupe for these Khaite jeans that I was gifted. I’m now half considering getting them in this eggshell color as well.

  • Bottega Mini Wallace Bag: I stumbled across a tiktok last week about how Bottega released a new bag on their website. Not even 30 seconds later I’m on SSENSE adding it to my cart. I took her out for a spin for the first time last night and I adore her. The red color is stunning, the size and shape is perfect, and I love the adjustable strap.

  • Hunza G Square Neck Swimsuit: I am officially the proud owner of 8 different Hunza G swimsuits. A lot of expensive swimwear is so uncomfortable and I feel like I can’t actually swim in them with out worrying that they’ll get ruined. But the material is so unbelievably soft and comfortable and I feel very secure wearing them in the ocean.

  • Eliou Theo Earrings: Love this jewelry brand, they make a lot of fun playful pieces and I’m obsessed with this green color.

  • Wander Beauty Mile High Club Mascara: This is my favorite every day mascara. It doesn’t smudge or irritate my sensitive eyes and it’s easy to remove with face wash.

  • Saie Glowy Super Gel: I wear this as my base under makeup AND on no makeup days. It gives your skin a subtle dewy glow and mixes really well with other products.

  • Brightland Pizza Oil: I received this in PR and I was shocked at how flavorful it is. I’ve been using it on broccoli with just some salt and pepper, throw it on the grill or in a hot oven and it’s so delish.

  • AGOLDE Parker Long Shorts: I have been wearing these non-stop since I got them. They are my 6th pair of AGOLDE parker shorts.. I’m really exposing myself today.. but yeah, they’re great.
