Hello my friends! In typical Northeast fashion, spring has come and gone faster than it takes me to wash, fold, and put away a load of laundry. And yes, I know that technically the first day of summer isn’t until June 20th, but we all know that Memorial Day is the unofficial start to summer. And, without exaggerating, it was in the 40s and raining in New York last week, and sunny and 80 degrees this week. I rest my case.
By the time you read this, I will already be sipping Triple Eight blueberry vodka lemonades at Cisco Brewery in Nantucket (God willing), so that’s exciting. Below are a few things that I have packed for my trip. And while the tri-state area will be blessed with sunshine and 85-degree weather this weekend, Nantucket will be raining and in the 50’s, so please keep that in mind.

If you didn’t know, my family has been visiting Nantucket every summer since 1997. I’ve spent six summers living and working there full-time, 4 summers working in retail, then 2 summers working in the food industry. My family and I have never been big restaurant snobs and when we’re in Nantucket we usually prefer cooking at home over going out to dinner. With that said, Nantucket has an extremely impressive restaurant scene, and we’ve fallen in love with a long list of spots over the years. But for the sake of brevity, I’ve narrowed it down to my top 5 picks.
